This is written from Adam's view.
All of this is not written or remembered. It is S.W.A.G.
God never understood me. I was the creation He wanted but could never accept. I was the piece of wood that the whitler shaves until it becomes acceptable in his eyes.
My story began. Things happened that we do not talk about. I did wrong. I was punished. My story ended.
The story contains only what the teller can accept. But the story must be told.
It is inspired by the spirit. What spirit I don't know. There are several but still only one.
On the third day, I became a living being. That is written, That was all that was written. Now the SWAG.
I felt something. I was yelling! I was waking from a dream but there was no dream. I am feeling. There is something else. Are the feelings inside or outside? Outside of What?
Organize!
And so I did.
I found what God had created! the heavens- the earth- darkness- the deep- the Spirit of God- the waters. the light- the sky- the dry ground called “land” and the waters. It was good.
I don't remember.
The next written record of me is 'Now the Lord God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man he had formed, that would be me. What had I been doing for all that time? Something had happened during that time to prompt God to create safe place for me or a place to keep the world safe from me! I had only heard good things from all of God's creation. He was God the creator. He was God All Mighty. He had created me. While I had been making sense of things around me I had found me, I did not make any sense of me. I felt like dirt, dust; Just like the land I had been next to.
I discovered I could move and the feelings I received from around me changed also. I found I could ask the land to 'Let your form become solid', and it would change. I had heard God use that command while He worked with the land and waters. I may have changed some features of the land around me that God had changed back because He had not commanded it. I liked it both ways so it made no difference to me. That is when the garden was ready and God put me there.
At that point I found I had lost something. I could not move beyond the garden edge.
I had not sensed the garden before I entered. There were new creations in the garden; They also had Life. They were following a plan that was much more restricted than mine. They followed a plan like that for dust and not like that for Light.
The part of their plan for Life included: 1. Take in energies. 2. Change these energies to different forms. 3. Keep some of this for life. 4. Put out the new form of energies.
As I looked around I found many, many plants all following the same plan for Life but changed in details so they were each different.
The Lord God had made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground—trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. I had no idea what food was. I had the feeling it was what the plants took the energies from. How did plants get the food from the other plants? I had asked a plant to come with me on a walk around the garden. I was told that would be good but it was not in their plan.
In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and
the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
A river watering the garden flowed amoung the trees then out from the garden. I could see the goodness of the garden spread out.
God was preparing the Land for the plants for the plants. These plants could not leave their spots. God must have a plan for more plants to come to life there.
I could not go out to organize or help in any way. May be God did not want my help For the second time man felt he had done something wrong in God's view?
I was still the only living being that could move around the garden. The plants were attached to land and had to stay attached or the Life energy would leave the plant. The plant without the Life energy was the same as dust. I had taken a plant with me as I moved around the garden and that is what had happened.
The plants were dependent on what was around them.
This is when God changed me and made me dependent also.
The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.
And the Lord God commanded the man, me, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden;"
He just said I was "free to eat"?
He just said I needed food! What? I needed food.
"but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die."
I have been a living being for a long time. There have been many changes to my life. To begin with I was the only living being and now God is ready to have me die.
God's command to me was not His usual form. He used "you must not eat . . ., for when you eat . . ."
I noticed this difference; and I was afraid, I was confused.
I have done things. I have been told to do or not do anything. I have never eaten anything. I have just been told that I am free to eat from any tree in the garden; but I must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. God did not need to put the tree of knowledge anywhere. He just created all the trees. He put 2 special trees that man did not need. He only told me "you must not eat" of the single tree.
I was afraid, I was confused. And I became cautious. I have never been any of these before. I don't even know what they mean.
The 2 trees in the middle of the garden were a trap. If I ate from the tree of knowledge, I would die? I would not; not eat, not die. But why were the two trees there?
And why was here even here? I must have offended God deeply for God to create a special Garden with special trees.
Or was I too special? Could I do so much more than I was created to do?
Maybe I needed to have the fruits of these 2 trees to do what God intended fo me to do? But I was never told what I was here to do?
If I eat from the eat from the tree of the knowledge I feel like I will have the answers. But when I eat from the tree of the knowledge I will certainly die.
Right now I have the choice, But I do not need to make the choice. One choice is as good as another. Let God decide.
The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”
God did not know what man was thinking. Why do I need a helper? What do You want me to do?
Man did not know what God was thinking. This man I have created will not make a choice unless he has another to talk to.
God started in the water with living creatures. God created the great creatures of the sea and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves about in it, according to their kinds. Man hardly noticed. Man was not interested in water. Man was not created from water.
Now the Lord God had formed out of the ground all the wild animals and all the birds in the sky. Man was more interested.
God gave man the duty of giving each creature a name. This will surely get man involved.
I watched the creatures as they came through the garden. I gave them names. They moved about the garden. They did not know what to do either. They were alive. They would need food as I now did. None of the creatures went near the 2 trees in the middle of the garden. God said this is good and I did not know if it was or not!
I got the feeling that the 2 trees in the middle of the garden were important.
After I had time to get to know each creature, God moved them from the garden and created a place or used place for them to continue their life. God was not finished with me.
We had spent much time with creatures who would stay with me. Unique animals with very interesting characteristics. There were a few combinations that could not function, they were discarded. There were a few combinations that did not function when placed outside the garden, they changed to adapt to their surroundings or were slowly discarded. I did not know the plans, plants and animals, could modify themselves. It seems the plans were contained within each creation with the instructions to "Be fruitful and increase in number". I appears that God had made changes as He placed living beings in the world. He also was getting better as We went along this path in time.
There several creation that I need to mention. They were interesting and were very close to being keepers. It would have been a shame to keep only one of them, I still felt that the plan would keep me unique even as my form changed continually.
The serpent was a very interesting creature. It was very flexable. With wings it could rule the land and sky. In the water it could penetrate all places without a change.
The cat was very cosy.
The dog was very strong.
In the final times of the search I still did not accept any creature as my helper. The next I knew I woke up.
God had gotten to the point of creatures with 4 legs, no wings, one pair of legs for moving, and one pair for holding things. This was the form I would keep. And God had taken part of this form and created another. The search was over. I had found my helper, another me!
With each creation's move to the outside, the whole outside was coming closer to being complete. The endless energy to matter plan was in motion and had no end. Life was set free and its plan to continue was set to 'self modifing'. Plants and animals lived together, feeding each other, in balance. The one unfinished plan was Man.
God had given up on a unique man to care for the other creations. Man did not accept this role. God had created another man to help his man accept his role. Of course, man did not run over to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Man never considered the tree of Life that was there for the taking. God would have to trick man into eating from the tree. Man would not listen to God, but God now had the helper.
When it was time, the Spirit, one of God's "Us that would make man", took the form of the serpent, a more crafty form than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the helper, as He would never talk to the man, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”
The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from any of the trees in the garden, but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’ The man told this to me. The man is afraid to eat any fruit from the tree.”
“You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. “For God knows that when, not if, you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good from/and evil.”
When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye,
and also desirable for gaining wisdom,
she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked;
so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.
The knowledge did not overcome the fear in the man.
He did not know the good and evil from the tree. Man had been afraid too long and the fear had become part of him.
Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden. The Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?”
The man answered for them both, “I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid. I was naked; so I hid.”
And God said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil? Why did the knowledge not work for you? Why did you not understand?”
The man said, “The woman you put here with me—she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it.”
Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?”
The woman said, “The serpent talked to me, I saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food, pleasing to the eye, and desirable for gaining wisdom, and I ate.”
The Lord God did not say to the serpent,“What is this you have done?”, for He already know.”
So the Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this as We planned and it did not work as expected,
“Special are you above all livestock
and all wild animals!
You will slither on your many feet
and you will hide from man
all the days of your life.
And I will put enmity
between you and the woman,
and between your offspring and hers;
he will crush your head,
and you will strike his heel.
To the woman he said,
“I will give you pain so you remember the disapointment in helping man make this dicision;
with painful labor you will you support his efforts.
This will remind you that you were part of man from the beginning that your efforts will not always produce the results that We expect.
But your desire will be for your husband, and you will allow him to rule over you.”
To the man,Adam he said,
“Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree but did not conquer you fear,
“Cursed is the ground because of you;
your pain will be constant while you work to provide food from it
all the days of your life.
It will produce thorns and thistles for you,
and you will eat the plants of the field.
By the sweat of your brow and the pain of your body you will eat your food until you return to the ground,
since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return.”
Adam named his wife Eve, because she would act as the mother of all the living. Her connection to the Spirit she listened to would never end.
The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them.
And the Lord God said,
“The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He is still afraid to accept my role for him. I will not abandon him.
But he must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.”
So the Lord God did not allow His man to die but banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken.
After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life lest man ever conquer his fear and try to return.
It is only with time and distance that a person can look back and see the past,
It has long been written:
And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”
What has been forgotten and lost is this:
"You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but be careful with the 2 trees in the middle of the garden. The fruit of the tree of knowledge of Right and Wrong will certainly change your Life. When you eat the fruit you will understand that not all choices are Good for the Life you are given. You will be able know the many different possibilities at every decision point and the probability of each different decision after that. With this knowledge you will guide my creations into the future. You will be required to make a decision and will be responsible for what happens because of the choice.
It is my command that you make this first choice and that you eat from this tree."
I did have the feeling that the 2 trees in the middle of the garden were important. I forgot what I could not accept. Because of this what I could accept is the history.
My story did not end with being banished from the Garden of Eden.
I made love to my wife Eve, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Cain. She said, “With the help of the Lord I have brought forth a man.” Later she gave birth to his brother Abel.
Both sons had been told the stories. There were no family secrets. Adam followed the commands of God.
Cursed is the ground because of you;
through painful toil you will eat food from it
all the days of your life.
It will produce thorns and thistles for you,
and you will eat the plants of the field.
By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground,
since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return.
Abel kept flocks, and Cain worked the soil. At first I missed the importantance of this. Abel was afraid as I had been in the garden. He had never been told not to keep flocks. These creatures were created by God when He said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: the livestock, the creatures that move along the ground." It surely is not wrong to keep flocks. He was doing well with the animals, they doing well with his care.
In the course of time Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the Lord. And Abel also brought an offering—fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock.
This is what I was told,
The Lord looked with favor on Abel and his offering of the fruits of the soil, but on Cain and his offering of fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock he did not look with favor.
So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast.
Then the Lord said to Cain,
“Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.”
So Cain went out and killed Abel.
I finally understood what had happened in the garden. It was about what I did not do!
Then the Lord said "If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right,⋯"
God was not watching for mistakes. I was afraid about making mistakes. There was nothing to fear. I should have eaten from all the trees in the garden as I was told.
God gave support to all my desendents. I had no daughters, just sons. My line ended when God replaced my desendent, Joseph, as father of Jesus. God, the creator, stepped aside. God the Father assumed his rightful place.
